Customizing the Wordpress Login Screen
UPDATED to PART 2
with plugin to avoid overwwriting core files and PSD files. see part 2 here.
This is especially handy if you build a website for a client using Wordpress as a CMS
Here is the original Login Screen

Its made up of two images.
login-bkg-tile.gif and

login-bkg-bottom_new.gif which holds just the bottom rounded corners.
You can find these images under /wp-admin/images in your blog directory. All you need to do is replace these images with your own custom images of the same width and height.
As an example here are the edited files from PlattDeals.

login-bkg-tile.gif for the logo and the gradient and

login-bkg-bottom.gif for the rounded bottom corners
Here is the finished login screen

thanks a ton…
Hi,
Thanks for letting me use your Nutrition Facts stats bar! Great Theme!
I’m going to have to try this.
Nice idea but is there any chance of giving us a psd file of the graphics so that we can alter them to suit?
the original files are FLAT and im just placing mine on top
so all the files are flat, non layered
il look for wordpress PSDs, but it shuldnt take you more than a few mins to make them urself
Just another quick question Ayush. What font did you use for yours as I really like it.
it was VAG Rounded
you can download it at http://www.1001fonts.com/payfonts/5586/VAG-Rounded-Black.html
i came across it here
