Subscribe via Email
I just added a plugin that allows people to subscribe to the blog via email
Why ? Because most people on the web still don’t know what RSS is and how to use it and don’t understand the orange xml icon on your site. They can still get an email newsletter of your blog, which they may be more comfortable with.

Take for example the Google Adsense blog - they have some 1,500 subscribers on Bloglines but more than 10,000 readers have chosen to receive new content via email newsletters
for my blog im using the wordpress plugin Subscribe2, availible at http://subscribe2.wordpress.com. It wasnt the easiest to setup. But still just 5mins overall to read through the installation tips and setup.
