I got the MX5000 Desktop set too, and having trouble to find the KVM to work with it. Just came across your blog, and learn that your situation is just similar ... Since I am not really a tech gal, can you please show me more detail of setting up the Synergy Keyboard Manager and how can I use a cheap KVM as you suggested to manage the monitor.
